Accommodation Rules

At Asakusa Tobu Hotel, in order to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, we have established the following terms of use based on Article 10 of our Accommodation Agreement. We ask that you please abide by these rules. If you do not comply with these rules, we may be forced to refuse your accommodation and use of the Hotel's facilities.
Please note that our Hotel cannot be held responsible for any accidents resulting from failure to follow these rules.

Article 1: Use of Guest Rooms

  • 1. Please check the evacuation route map from your guest room, which is clearly displayed on the inside of the guest room entrance door.
  • 2. Please be sure to lock the door from the inside and the door guard while you are staying, especially when you go to sleep.
  • 3. When someone knocks on the door, either open the door with the door guard engaged or check through the peephole. Also, if you suspect an intruder has arrived, do not open the door carelessly and be sure to contact the front desk.
  • 4. All guest rooms are non-smoking. Smoking inside the rooms is strictly prohibited. Please note that if smoking is detected, a room cancellation fee will be charged.
  • 5. Please do not use any open flames, candles, or other heating or cooking equipment in guest rooms or corridors without the Hotel's permission. Cooking in guest rooms is strictly prohibited.
  • 6. Do not hang clothes or laundry on the lampshade.
  • 7. Using guest rooms for purposes other than accommodation, such as commercial activities (exhibitions, etc.) without the Hotel's permission, is strictly prohibited.
  • 8. Do not move any furnishings in the guest room without the Hotel's permission, and do not take any personal items or belongings from the guest room outside the room. In the event of any loss or damage to any items, you will be required to compensate for the actual cost.
  • 9. Please meet with visitors in the lobby.
  • 10. Long-term accommodation contracts do not create any leasehold rights, residential lease rights, or other rights under the Housing and Building Lease Act or other laws relating to housing.
  • 11. We strictly prohibit accommodation for anyone other than registered guests.
  • 12. We will not allow minors to stay without parental permission.
  • 13. Please be aware that if you leave the bathtub unattended while it is filling with water, for example, for napping, the water may overflow and cause a serious water leak.

Article 2. Card key for guest rooms

  • 1. When leaving your room during your stay, please be sure to take your key card with you and make sure the door is locked.
  • 2. If you wish to use the Hotel's restaurants by signing in, please provide your card key case or room number to the staff.
  • 3. Please be sure to return your key card to the front desk or the self-service payment machine when you depart from the Hotel.

Article 3 Valuables

Please store any cash, securities, or other valuables in the safe in your room during your stay.

Article 4 Items entrusted to us

Unless otherwise specified, your belongings will be stored as follows. Items that have not been stored for the period will be treated as items that you do not intend to retrieve, in accordance with the law.

  • *Items left at the front desk for overnight and non-staying guests can be stored for 1 month.

Article 5 Lost property

Lost items will be kept for 7 days, including the day they are found, after which they will be handed over to the nearest police station.

Article 6 Account

  • 1. A deposit for the room rate is required upon arrival. (This includes room rate, service charge, and taxes.)
  • 2. Payment for your stay may be made in cash, by voucher, accommodation voucher, credit card, or any other payment method approved by the Hotel. You may be asked to settle your bill even during your stay.
  • 3. If payment is to be received from someone other than the guest, and payment is not received by the specified date, we will directly request payment from the guest.
  • 4. We do not offer reimbursement for expenses incurred at stores not operated by Hotel, or for purchases made outside the Hotel, including train tickets, taxi fares, postage stamps, and shipping costs for luggage.
  • 5. In addition to statutory taxes, we charge a 10% service fee on your bill, so we respectfully decline any gratuities.

Article 7 Matters to be stopped

Please refrain from bringing items or engaging in any behavior that may disturb other guests within the Hotel.

  • 1. Dogs, cats, small birds, and other pet animals (excluding guide dogs and service dogs)
  • 2. Flammable or combustible materials
  • 3. Things that emit foul odors or are toxic.
  • 4. Other items whose possession is prohibited by law
  • 5. Gambling, intimidating behavior, disruptive conduct, or any behavior or speech that offends or inconveniences other customers (including noise, etc.)
  • 6. Going outside the guest room in pajamas, slippers, etc.
  • 7. Distribution of advertisements and promotional materials, sale of goods, guidance, etc.
  • 8. Use of rooms or the lobby by non-guests without the Hotel's permission, including commercial activities.
  • 9. Using Hotel facilities and equipment in locations or for purposes other than those designated, or using them in a way that significantly damages their current condition.
  • 10. Publicly displaying photographs or other images taken within the Hotel for commercial purposes without permission.
  • 11. Leaving personal belongings in hallways or lobbies
  • 12. Entry into Hotel employee areas, emergency stairwells, rooftops, machine rooms, etc., except in emergencies or unavoidable circumstances.
  • 13. Ordering food and beverages from outside the Hotel.
  • 14. Hanging items on or displaying items in the windows of rooms that detract from the Hotel exterior.
  • 15. Damage, soiling, or loss of Hotel buildings, furniture, fixtures, or other items.
